Cyber Monday Precautions!!!!!

Cyber Monday Precautions!!!!!

No one can deny the Holiday Spirit! When it moves you, it moves you. Since this is the season of giving make sure you remember to give your self a break!

Please do not go online spending large amounts and putting it on your credit card!

A sale is only a bargain if you can afford to buy it. If you purchase something on sale and it leaves you strapped for cash to cover your monthly expenses, LEAVE IT WHERE IT IS!!!!

Placing sale items on credit cards will more than likely mean that you will pay more than the suggested retail price in INTEREST.

If you are not prepared to pay your credit card in full at the end of the holiday season, leave the credit cards for emergencies only. (Flatscreen TV's are not emergencies!)

Here are a few tips to get through the holidays without the need to foreclose on your mortgage or fall behind on your other key expenses.

1. Do NOT buy gifts on your credit card unless you are going to pay the balance off in full at the end of each month.
2. BUDGET!!! Go through your finances and figure out how much you can afford to spend this holiday and do not go over that amount.
3. PRIORITIZE, there is no need to buy a gift for everyone. Send holiday cards instead.
4. Baby Jesus was given three presents, there is no need to give a child 100 toys when they will only remember 3 anyway!
5. Make a list and check it twice, have an idea of what you would like to purchase as gifts so you are not distracted while shopping to buy random things that can bust your budget.

'Tis the Season to be Jolly, not Broke!
